Rare Voices
Part of BrisAsia Festival, the Rare Voices concert will showcase a treasure chest of musical talent matched with stories from across the Asian region. Boasting a rich program of traditional and world music, the colourful event will take concert-goers on a journey across the ocean through tunes, melodies and soundscapes that reflect on the cultural histories of Brisbane’s diverse communities.
Internationally renowned Carnatic singer Charulatha Mani and Chinese folk singer Zi Wang will be headlining the evening, alongside a starry selection of renowned local artists and instrumentalists. The event will also showcase some fresh-faced homegrown talent as a part of its Emerging Artist initiative, which is designed to engage with southside multicultural communities thus presenting a platform for new voices to be heard.
