The Queensland Pops Orchestra is thrilled to present a New Year’s Eve gala concert for the 36th consecutive year. Maestro Patrick Pickett CSM has crafted a concert with a ‘Carnival of Venice’ atmosphere packed with virtuosity, colour and movement, as is the Pops tradition. It’s the perfect occasion to celebrate the end of this unforgettable year and look forward to 2021 with optimism.

The Pops lights a tantalising fuse of excitement as the countdown to January 1st begins in earnest. Joining Patrick and the orchestra are a star cast of exceptional and gifted musicians. For New Year’s Eve 2020 internationally renowned Tenor Kang Wang, Soprano Katie Stenzel, Violinist Cherin Lee, the superb Voices of Birralee and the fabulous musicians of the Queensland Pops Orchestra are welcomed.

No Pops New Year’s Eve concert is complete without a complementary surge of adrenalin! Following the lavish stage spectacular head up to the QPAC rooftop to hear Piper Bruce Grice – who will pipe in the New Year at the exclusive Black-tie function with champagne and nibbles as 2020 ticks away.
