Queensland Multicultural Week 2015, a Queensland Government Initiative, is the state’s largest celebration of multiculturalism. This is an opportunity for everyone to celebrate who they are. It will be held from August 22–30 2015 during which, events and activities across Queensland will be celebrating inclusion and harmony. 2015’s slogan is ‘Celebrate Who You Are’, and the event program celebrates different walks of life.

The highlight of the week is the Queensland Multicultural Awards, a gala dinner that awards individuals, businesses and community organisations across categories such as Services and Communities, Business Excellence, Education and Training Innovation, Outstanding Volunteer, Communications and Media Achievement and Multicultural Ambassador. The award dinner takes place on Saturday August 22.

Multiculturalism is part of every Queenslander’s story and Queensland Multicultural Week is the week to get together with friends, attend an event or host one of your own. This is the week to celebrate your ancestry.
