This 24-hour music concert series will see the Queensland Symphony Orchestra performing a bunch of free and ticketed concerts alongside musical innovators to showcase the complementary nature of music styles. Catch a collaboration between electronic composer Tim Shiel and 16 QSO musicians as they give the music from Australian mobile game Duet an orchestral makeover, or watch as Trichotomy’s engaging improvisatory interplay is complemented by 11 QSO musicians. Beatboxer Tom Thum will unite with QSO to present an incredible musical performance, while acclaimed Mexican conducter Alondra de la Parra will showcase some brilliant Latin American orchestral pieces, including a world premiere of composer Philip Glass’s arrangement for orchestra of a work by Aphex Twin.
