Ever wondered how your favourite fragrance was created or wanted to design a signature scent of your own? In a Queensland first, The Powder Room Perfume Master Class is bringing knowledge direct from Paris in time for Mother’s Day.

The Powder Room Perfume Master Classes will offer a fun yet sophisticated experience for lovers of fashion and perfume a unique insight into the intriguing world of fragrance and give guests the opportunity to design a scent that reflects their personality.

Director of The Powder Room, Samantha Taylor, has worked for Floris & L’Occitane, Estee Lauder, Miller Harris and Penhaligons in Australia and Europe and is considered one of Australia’s foremost fragrance experts. In 2014, Samantha was appointed as the Australian licensee for Cinquieme Sens, the global leader in perfumery training.

Direct from Paris, the Master Class is the combination of Cinquieme Sens 40 years in the industry and 20 years of Samantha’s experience marketing and creating perfume. The class has garnered the attention of media and TV shows including Channel 10’s hit show The Bachelor. The sense of smell can instantly help recall a memory, an emotion or a feeling and Samantha has collaborated with premier brands to enhance their product offering.

Guests will arrive and enjoy a light morning tea and glass of champagne before learning how to write a perfume formula then create a custom fragrance using the ‘Olfactorium,’ a mini perfumers organ containing the finest raw materials from Europe.
