- A6 pink, yellow & white card
- 30cm strip of white card
- Glue stick
- Stapler
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Black pen
- Paintbrush
- 2 x Acrylic paint colours
OPTIONAL MATERIALS:
- Coloured tape
- Circle stickers
- Feathers
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1 (refer to image 1): Cut the empty cracker box in half through the middle using your scissors so that you have two similar sized mini boxes. Use the tape or stapler to close the ends of the boxes if they are open.
Step 2 (refer to image 2): Paint each of your mini boxes a different colour using the brush and acrylic paints. You may need to do a few coats of paint depending on the original colour of the box.
Step 3 (refer to image 3): While the mini boxes dry. Draw the following:
Pink Card: 2x large bunny ears
White Card: 2x smaller bunny ears, 2x large oval bunny eyes, 2 x round
chick eyes
Yellow Card: 1 x triangle chick beak
Step 4 (refer to image 4): Cut all of these shapes out. Place the small white bunny ears inside the large pink ears. Cut the 30cm strip of white card evenly down the middle lengthways to make two basket handles.
Step 5 (refer to image 5): Once the paint on the mini boxes has dried, stick coloured tape around the top edge of the boxes to give them a more finished look (optional).
Step 6 (refer to image 6): Glue, staple or tape the bunny ears inside your bunny box so that they pop up from the front edge of the box.
If you have feathers, tape them inside the front edge of the other box which will be your chick. Glue the eyes, and beak on each of the boxes as well. Place a circle sticker on for the bunny nose, and draw the bunny mouth, whiskers and eyelashes on with the black pen. Draw two dots on the chicks beak.
Fill your Easter Bunny and chick with eggs on your egg hunt on Easter morning. Happy Easter!
