The Planetarium Turns 40

Join us in celebrating the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium’s 40th anniversary with a jam-packed weekend of events, including a free public lecture on Astrovisualisation by Dr Carter Emmart from the American Museum of Natural History.

We’re offering 40% off Cosmic Skydome show tickets across the weekend, with a variety of shows available including new shows The Little Star That Could and Passport to the Universe. View the weekend show schedule here.

You can view the new Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander astronomy exhibition, Skylore. There will also be a historical photographic display of the Planetarium’s early days for visitors to enjoy.

We want you to share your favourite memories of the Planetarium with us. The best submissions will be included in a time-capsule that will be sealed until 2037. Entries for our competition are open from Monday 16 April to Monday 14 May. Enter now!

Bookings are strongly recommended for shows. Contact the Booking Office – 40% off Cosmic Skydome admission prices apply.
