Please join us for Spiro Grace Art Rooms’ closing event, which will be combined with the opening of our final exhibition. After seven years, we are saddened to announce that Spiro Grace Art Rooms will be closing its doors in December 2017.

However, affirming our commitment to supporting artists in the early stages of their careers, our final exhibition, entitled Placement, will feature two emerging Brisbane-based artists, showing some fresh new work examining cultural identities through visual symbols and materiality.

Monika Correa and Christopher Bassi construct representations of narratives and objects to navigate their individual bi-cultural experiences. The exhibition will feature illustrations, painting and sculpture, and we hope this exhibition will facilitate a view to the exciting future of up and coming art in Queensland as we celebrate our final show at SGAR.

Please join us from 4:30 pm on Saturday November 18 to celebrate the opening of our final exhibition, and the success of the gallery and its artists. Everyone is welcome.
