The Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) is an international organisation that is committed to assisting church musicians at every level, and these workshops are designed to equip organists/pianists of all abilities to play hymns, voluntaries and to improvise. The workshops will be conducted by Dr Phillip Gearing, Director of Music at St Mary’s Anglican Church, Kangaroo Point. He has extensive experience in liturgical music and as a teacher. The six sessions will be held over a period of approximately 3 months to allow participants to consolidate what they learn. The first session will be held at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Woolloongabba on at 9am on Saturday 7 July 2018. At this session dates and venues will be set for the subsequent workshops.
