Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon Planetarium Experience
To celebrate Pink Floyd’s legendary album The Dark Side Of The Moon turning the big five zero, music lovers can journey around the universe with Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon Planetarium Experience. Running at Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium until March 2024, this Queensland-exclusive celestial experience sees Pink Floyd tunes set to breathtaking visuals of the solar system and beyond, with each song boasting a different theme of time and space, ranging from futuristic panoramas to retro influences. The whole 42 minutes of The Dark Side Of The Moon will be played in surround sound, with rock fans able to sit back and relax on the reclined seats of the planetarium.
We are among the first to experience this spellbinding show, which is running across the country as part of a worldwide tour that includes Canada, Germany, the UK and USA. NSC Creative has led the visual-production efforts, working closely with Pink Floyd’s long time creative collaborator Aubrey Powell from Hipgnosis to create the dazzling display.
The Dark Side of the Moon Planetarium Experience runs until March 2024. Sessions are on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are $16 and can be purchased through the Brisbane City Council website.
