Brisbane has many nicknames: River City, New World City, the Sunshine State capital, and the home of the Queenslander house, to name a few. But what makes Brisbane special as a city? And what do locals really think?

Immerse yourself in a haven of colour, light and sound, as performance and installation artist Kellie O’Dempsey places audiences right in the middle of her artwork, which fuses digital drawing, performance, animated video projection and sound.

Join people+artist+place Co-Directors Jenna Green and Marisa Georgiou, along with their creative collaborators, as they unravel the ‘Brisbane Aesthetic’ from the various perspectives of locals and visitors. Engage in discussions and hear conversations collected from the community as part of Jenna and Marisa’s month-long Museum residency during BAD 2019.
