Wildlife Nestbox Building Workshop – Saturday July 28, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Dan Stiller Memorial Reserve, Parkinson
This event is hosted by Creek Watch/ Oxley Creek Catchment Association.
Join a fun, family-friendly, hands-on nature activity at Sergeant Dan Stiller Memorial Reserve. Participants can choose to build and/or decorate nest boxes for the many hollow-dependant species such as parrots, gliders, bats and possums which live in the Flinders-Karawatha Nature Reserve.

Keep Mt Gravatt Clean – Sunday July 29, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
Mt Gravatt Conservation Reserve, Junction of Federation Track and Eastern Outlook Track.
This event is hosted by Mt Gravatt Environment Group.
Join other community members and groups for the 2018 National Tree Day planting to extend the Small Bird Habitat created since the 2015 event. Habitat created by participants in past National Tree Day events, is now thriving and already attracting butterflies, birds and bees.

Eagleby Wetlands Tree Planting & Bird Watching – Sunday July 29, 8:00–10:00 am
Eagleby Wetlands, Logan Street, Eagleby QLD
This event is hosted by the Logan City Council.
Join the Logan City Council for a morning of tree planting and bird watching at the Eagleby Wetlands. Free Parking is available at the Oliver Sports Centre. All participants will be rewarded for their efforts with a complimentary sausage sizzle. Bookings not required.

Help National Tree Day volunteers – Sunday July 29, 8:00–10:00 am
Williams Park pedestrian footbridge, between Brandon Road and Ervatamia Street
This event is hosted by Brandon Road Bushcare Group.
Looking for an opportunity to do some hands-on planting, weeding or cleaning up in the catchment? Come along and enjoy the company of this hard-working group of volunteers, contribute to the maintenance of our creek and park, and share in morning tea. Wear a hat, covered shoes and sunscreen.

Landcare for Singles Event – Sunday July 29, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Jacaranda Place Reserve, Indooroopilly
This event is hosted by Brisbane Catchment Networks.
Want to find that special someone? Or maybe you just really like planting trees?  Whichever it is, come to our Landcare for Singles Event. Forget speed dating, and try speed planting! The event will begin at 9:00 am with a planting of native plants, followed by various activities including live music, coffee, brunch and giant games. Landcare for Singles Brisbane aims to create a platform where environmentally-conscious singles can meet other singles and take part in restoring the biodiversity of our community.

Shapcott Park National Tree Day planting – Sunday July 29, 9:00–11:00 am
116-118 Gladstone Road, Coalfalls
This event is hosted by Ipswich City Council.
Nestled along the Bremer River, this planting will improve water quality and bank stabilisation and provide habitat for our wildlife. This area will also connect with other revegetated areas along the river to create more connected corridors and improved environmental outcomes.

National Tree Day Event – Sunday July 29, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Wood Park, Bilga Street, Middle Park
This event is hosted by Wolston and Centenary Catchments Inc.
We invite you to come and plant a tree or two for National Tree Day, at our bush rehabilitation site at Wood Park. Please wear enclosed shoes, long pants, long sleeves and hat. There will be drinking water and snacks provided. Small children must have parental supervision.
