The Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts will be painting Fortitude Valley’s Brunswick Street maroon throughout Queensland Week with a nightly lighting display, in conjunction with celebrations for Queensland Week. Queensland Week brings Queenslanders together to celebrate the beauty and diversity of our sunshine state.

We will also be celebrating the centenary of our namesake, the acclaimed poet Judith Wright, with a free public event on Saturday 30 May at 4:00 pm. Presented in partnership with the Queensland Poetry Festival and Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts.
