On Screen

On Screen

Whether it’s the ink that finds a home across the front of your chest on a new tee, or the ink that hangs framed on your wall, prints can tell stories. They are a form of communication and expression dating back thousands of years. One place that knows too well the power of print is local creative studio and Australian owned garment printing company, The Print Bar. Consisting of a team of designers and print specialists, The Print Bar have branched out with a new focus on fine art prints.

The print studio’s newest initiative is titled On Screen, a gallery focused by-product of The Print Bar. They aim to shine the spotlight on the abundance of independent print artists that call Brisbane home. With an online store and series of pop-up exhibitions, the creative venture aims to facilitate a new platform for local print artists to promote their work and strengthen the print making community.

After the success of their first print exhibition, Growing Features, On Screen is excited to present the second wave of print makers. Working in several versions of print, each creative presents their unique interpretation, approach and style to the medium. Artists include Michael Price, Jaedan French, Chris Walsh, Des Skords and Rhiannon Dionysius. These fresh prints are now available for purchase online at www.onscreen.space
