Omnipollo (SWEDEN) Tap Takeover
We’re holding a rather special tap takeover event with Omnipollo from Sweden!
Omnipollo are a nomadic beer-brewing project headed by Karl Grandin and Henok Fentie that designs and brews small-scale batches of craft beer in cooperation with breweries around the world.
The story of Omnipollo has grown and developed as the project has; it is no set thing but a shifting, organic project that, while spearheaded by this Swedish beer-enthusiast duo, remains an individual experience.
Omnipollo are synonymous with freakishly mouth-watering creations & minimally designed, yet intriguing bottle labels.
Their bottle range is so highly sought after that they regularly sell out within days of arriving on bottleshop shelves.
As far as kegs go, they don’t really send them to Australia much, so when there was an opportunity to host a Tap Takeover with their beers, we were beyond excited to learn we secured a mouth-watering SIX different kegs from them
————————-
On tap on the day will be these six stunners:
*Mazarin*
Pale Ale, 5.6 % by vol.
Rather than being big and indecipherably complex, the brewer wanted to create something that would calm a hop yearning nerve without fuddling the brain too much. In other words, a lavishly hopped ale of judicious ABV — an Extra Special Pale Ale if you will.
*Leon*
Belgian Pale Ale, 6.5 % by vol.
Leon is assertively hopped and fermented dry using champagne yeast. The yeast and the hops in combination with a simple malt bill provides the beer with a quality of being rich in taste yet refreshing.
*Zodiak*
West-Coast IPA, 6.2 % by vol.
Our house IPA. A blend of grains, untouched post fermentation and aspiringly hopped with Simcoe, Citra and Centennial.
Zodiak is brewed with oats and unginned wheat. The beer is gently bright yellow with a creamy foam and has a soft, slightly caramelic body with a taste of both tropical fruit and malt.
*Nebuchadnezzar*
Imperial IPA, 8.5 % by vol.
“Neb” is a home brew recipe that has been scaled up with no consideration to economies of scale. Some say idiotic, and as an economist the brewer Hendok says he agrees! Get fresh or die trying.
*Noa Pecan Mud Cake*
Imperial Stout, 11 % by vol.
Brewer: “When I was 12 I dreamed of becoming a pastry chef. Call this a creative outlet. Thick, rich and excessively decadent, this beer aims to bring back childhood memories.”
*Brush*
Imperial Stout, 12 % by vol.
Brush is a witch crafted Imperial Stout in collaboration with J Wakefield (USA). This dark, rich, full bodied ale is brewed with vanilla bean, cocoa nib, hazelnut coffee and ancho chiles.
