Under the baton of Peter Morris, the Conservatorium Wind Orchestra presents a program inspired by the musical outcomes that have arisen out of global historical conflicts. The first half will be anchored by Berlioz Grande symphonie funèbre et triomphale, as we commemorate the 150th anniversary of Berlioz’s death. The second half will transform to a 1940s military band sent overseas to entertain and uplift the spirits of the homesick soldiers with swing classics such as ‘Sing, Sing, Sing’.
