No Pits, Just Pits is a photographic exploration displaying some unique gig moments from some of Australia’s biggest bands, shot in some of Australia’s most intimate venues.

No Pits, Just Pits is the first solo exhibition of Matt (Warrell) Walter work in a capital city. This exhibition explores some of the challenging aspects of shooting live imagery whilst congested within a crowd. The exhibition will be on display for the entirety of BIGSOUND Festival 2017.

Matt (Warrell) Walter is a live music photographer from Brisbane, Australia. Matt has photographed some of the industry’s biggest names, including Kendrick Lamar, Faith No More, Eminem, The Smashing Pumpkins and more. Matt is also a touring photographer for some of Australia’s most popular bands including Violent Soho, The Smith Street Band and DUNE RATS.

His work has built him a social media following of over 40,000. Matt has had his worked published by TIME, Vice Magazine, triple j and many others.
