Night adventures: Frog-spotting at Illaweena Street Lagoon

Join staff from Brisbane City Council’s Environment Centres on a guided night walk and discover the wonderful world of native frogs inhabiting Karawatha Forest Reserve. Try your hand at detecting frog species and other nocturnal wildlife after dark! Participants will explore trails up to1500 metres. The activity will continue in light rain.

Requirements: Safety requirements apply and are a condition of entry. Children must be aged six years or older and accompanied by an adult booked into the walk. One adult per two children is required. For safety reasons children under six cannot attend.

Please wear secure and fully enclosed walking shoes, long pants and long sleeves. Bring a small hand-held torch (no headlamps), insect repellent, drinking water, and a raincoat if required. Please arrive ten minutes early to check in. Please do not leave early unless it is an emergency. We recommend a light meal prior to the walk.  Activities are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
