Nicholas John Turner – ‘Hang Him When He Is Not There’

Savage Motif invites you to the launch of Nicholas John Turner’s new work of fiction, ‘Hang Him When He Is Not There.’

Nicholas is founding contributor to the local amateur sports publication ‘Match Day Burger’, whose international popularity lead the Guardian UK to describe it as “some of the best sports-writing online today.” Turner’s intelligent, fluid, playful and sincere style of reportage, and his penchant for illuminating strange, sympathetic truths has long hinted at his fiction, which now brings itself to light in his first published work.

The event will be held at ‘Avid Reader’, in Brisbane’s West End, on Wednesday 13th of April. Please arrive at 6:00 pm.

Luke Stegemann, associate publisher of the Griffith Review, will be hosting this event, including a Q & A with the author. Nicholas will be reading from, discussing and signing copies of the book in the intimate setting of this iconic, independent bookshop.
