Less than six months since a fire completely gutted its longstanding home, the New Farm Deli crew has announced that it will officially reopen at Merthyr Village on Friday November 29. Award-winning commercial kitchen designer Food Strategy has worked with New Farm Deli’s owners Vince and Maria Anello to reconstitute many of the elements from the original deli-cafe’s design (cabinetry, wine racks and finishes), but have also added some modern additions to the kitchen to cater for an increased customer demand. Long-time customers will be able to join the Anello family in celebrating its next chapter, with a special morning of festivities to be held at the deli on the day of its reopening, starting from 6:00 am. Expect plenty of Italian fare with a special pop-up stall serving pastries, focaccia and paninis, while jumping castles, face painters and live music will keep the whole family entertained. What’s more, New Farm Deli will donate all proceeds from every coffee purchased between 6:00–11:00 am to the Rural Fire Brigades Association Queensland Inc.
