Native plants in your garden

Native plants in your garden

Local native plant species are adapted to our climate, making them easy to grow and offering colour and texture to make your garden a beautiful wildlife sanctuary. To celebrate the opening of the Karawatha’s free native plant nursery, an Environment Centre volunteer will take you on a journey through Karawatha Forest where you can learn all about the local native plants that are well suited to grow in your garden.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Wear a wide-brimmed hat, secure, fully enclosed walking shoes, sun-smart clothing, sunscreen and insect repellent. Bring drinking water and a snack or picnic lunch as there are no food outlets on site. Note: Any walks or outside activities are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
