As all of Brisbane’s cheese lovers already know, Monday June 4 marks National Cheese Day and Il Verde is celebrating with not one, but two un-brie-lievable offers!

From 12:00 pm onwards, Il Verde will be giving away free takeaway servings of four cheese pasta to the first 200 people to stop by the store. This is not a drill – indulge in a famous creamy, stringy, and gooey cheese wheel pasta, which twirls al dente spaghetti and melted Grana Parano, with hints of talegio in the cream sauce, soft montasio, and perfectly-aged provolone.

As the night falls, cheesy celebrations will continue to roll on with the launch of Brisbane’s first-ever aligot! For the uninitiated, aligot is the ultimate representation of everyone’s favourite treats – cheese and potatoes! With a texture similar to decadent fondue, visitors can expect delicately-melted cheese blended seamlessly with mashed potatoes poured over Il Verde’s house-made sausage.

Dine on the restaurant’s four-cheese wheel pasta entrée before diving into the supreme Aligot and finishing with a crunchy-sweet cannoli for dessert for only $55 per person. For those who love a little wine with their cheese, you’re in luck! A glass of house red or white will also be available to sip on during the night.
