In 2015, NAIDOC Week celebrations will be held around the country from Sunday July 5 to Sunday July 12. Brisbane has a bunch of great events planned to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week storytime will be held at New Farm Library and Noosa Library, and traditional craft sessions will be held at the Caloundra Regional Gallery. Brisbane Multicultural Arts Centre (BEMAC) at Kangaroo Point will also be hosting a number of great events throughout July, from a unique music collaboration on Friday July 10 and live performance from songwriter Shellie Morris on Saturday July 10, to a thought-provoking film night on Thursday July 16, live jazz music on Saturday July 18 and a Singout Sista concert series on Friday July 31.
