MOSAIC Multicultural Festival

Travel the world in a day at MOSAIC!

Got the urge to travel the world? Let the world come to you at the Roma St Parkland on Sunday 7 October at one of Brisbane’s largest multicultural festivals!

MOSAIC Multicultural Festival is all set to provide your passport to more than 80 countries through their music, dance, cuisine, art, market stalls and a host of cultural activities.

Activities such as storytelling, drumming workshops (led by Nicky Bomba of John Butler Trio/ Melbourne Ska Orchestra fame), and the hugely popular Cultural Kitchen where community members will share both their family recipes and settlement stories.

There’ll be plenty of highlights but one is sure to be the visually spectacular procession through the Parkland at 3pm – a colourful conga line of dancers, musicians and MOSAIC participants.

With a renowned line up featuring Sunny Coast Rude Boys (with Nicky Bomba), Izalco Latin America Band, Sasta Irish Band, Rwandan Cultural Dance Group, African Fusion, and the Al Zayton Palestinian Dabke Troupe, the stage is also set for one of the most entertaining festivals in town!

Presented by MDA Ltd (Multicultural Development Australia), MOSAIC is free to those who register online at www.mdaltd.org.au/mosaic before 7 October, otherwise entry is by donation on the day.
