Mikkeller’s Ol & Brod Danish Dinner


Smørrebrød is a culinary tradition some 150 years old, of open-faced sandwiches on rye bread.

ØL & BRØD is Mikkeller’s take on this Scandinavian tradition, transforming the common workers lunch into a niche fine dining phenomenon. The tradition of ØL & BRØD will transplant itself to Saccharomyces Beer Cafe. For one night only, SBC will be offering a set three course ØL & BRØD inspired dinner matched to your choice of exclusive Mikkeller brews. Just like at your favourite Danish Granma’s house.

Tickets are $100 (plus fees) and includes three course dinner, limited edition Mikkeller & Friends beer glass (to take home), your choice of four Mikkeller tap beers. Tickets are limited and need to be pre-purchased from Eventbrite.

Menu

Starter:
Individual Smørrebrød platter featuring three open faced sandwiches served on dark rye: Pastrami/Avocado/Chilli: Smoked Salmon/Beetroot/Dill; and Brie Double Cream/Apple/Walnut

Main:
Slow cooked Pork Cheek and Bacon Beer Carbonnade served on mini capsicum, zucchini and sweet potato

Dessert:
Individual platter featuring Coffee Beeramisu, Strawberry and Lime Tart, Beer Float

Drink:
There will 10 different Mikkeller brews on tap. We will suggest beers to match with each course, but the choice is yours. Each guest will receive four tokens that can be redeemed for any of the 15 beers available on the night.
