Michelle Eskola: Luminous Plastic
Michelle Eskola’s exhibition ‘Luminous Plastic’ explores the intersection of polarities of light, space, abstraction and formation. Employing these elements and processes Eskola considers the role of painting in contemporary digital culture. The series of paintings highlight the correlation between traditional painting methods and digital image construction as Eskola shifts between physical and virtual processes of making. During the closing event on October 10, Michelle will make an appearance for an artist discussion.
Michelle Eskola received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) from the Queensland University of Technology in 2008 and an Advanced Diploma of Visual Art from TAFE, Brisbane, 2014.
