Dearest Northern cousins, we are returning to you once more! That’s right, returning for an almighty fifth year, Men of Letters comes to The Zoo to celebrate a glorious selection of the country’s finest and most wonderful all-male talent.

Join us for a most pleasant afternoon in Brisbane’s loveliest wood-floored attic to celebrate the lost art of letter-writing. On Sunday November 6t, the Women of Letters team will bring together for the first time on stage an awesome host of talent. The line-up consists of actor and singer Jay Laga’aia, writer and editor Khalid Warsame, broadcaster and writer Ian ‘Dano’ Rogerson, star of Big Brother and television personality Ben Zabel, actor Leon Cain, guitarist of The Grates John Patterson, extraordinary rebel priest Peter Kennedy, writer and Twitter superstar (Thomas Violence) Ben McLeay and leading Australian artist Michael Zavros.

These fine gentlemen will each be penning and reading a letter to ‘The Woman Who Changed My Life’. There’ll be the usual wine and letter writing combo that we’ve come to love, all held in the beautiful surrounds of The Zoo. Stamps and envelopes will be provided, and in the spirit of participation attendees are encouraged to pen short notes. For $25 plus booking fees that’s a fairly formidable afternoon’s entertainment. All funds raised go – as ever – to our friends at Edgar’s Mission.
