Meat: The Ultimate Companion meets Hellenika
Hellenika will welcome Anthony Puharich of Victor Churchill – “The most beautiful butcher in the world” as coined by internationally acclaimed chef Anthony Bourdain – for the launch of his book Meat: The Ultimate Companion on Monday December 10.
Puharich, a fifth-generation butcher, is not just any butcher. Co-owner of Victor Churchill in Sydney, Anthony shares the same ethos on produce and quality as Hellenika – never compromise. Because of this strong ethos, Puharich holds a unique position in the Australian food chain, linking the farmer to the chef and over the years has developed an in-depth understanding of the process.
Puharich’s book, Meat: The Ultimate Companion takes you through the topic of meat from the eyes of the farmer, butcher and chef. There are tips on what questions to ask before you buy your meat, plus more than 110 recipes showcasing what you can create – it’s a meaty read.
You’re invited to meet and dine with Puharich on Monday 10 December at the book launch, where diners will savour a three-course shared feast. Tickets are $110 per person or $170 with a signed copy of the book. To reserve a spot call Hellenika on 3252 2060.
