Making at MoB: Lace Jewellery

Making at MoB: Lace Jewellery

Join us for an hour of relaxed crafting and creation in the Museum of Brisbane. We present a range of different handmade and art techniques taught by local working professionals. Once you have finished making at MoB, explore our current exhibitions throughout the Museum.

Lace has always been an expensive luxury item due to its time-consuming production. During the 18th and 19th centuries lace was frequently worn by upper class women to embellish their hats and clothing. In this craft session, learn how easy it is to transform lace into a piece of jewelry that can be worn as a necklace or bracelet.

All craft materials and tools supplied. Light refreshments provided.
