The Mad Hatters Festival
The Mad Hatters Festival is a new Brisbane festival featuring nine days of art exhibitions, displays, creative workshops, community events and a public forum to explore the link between creative activity and enhanced well being.
The Mad Hatters Festival is a showcase for the talents and achievements of artists with a lived experience of mental health issues and celebrates creativity, community and connection.
Starting Friday October 4 the festival program includes the West End Art Trail – pop-up art exhibitions in local business outlets; The Art of Well Being – a community forum and conversation discussing the connections between creative activity and well being; A Few of Our Favourite Things – a group art exhibition at the Vera Wade Gallery – and FotoJam – an afternoon for photographers and lovers of photography to share images and ideas. All festival events are open to the public and are free – check the festival website for details of what’s on, where and when.
The Mad Hatters Festival proudly supports Mental Health Week 2019.
