Lunar New Year at Brisbane Quarter
Hop into the year of the rabbit at the transformed Brisbane Quarter for Lunar New Year. Traverse to Asia with a variety of special feasts, traditional entertainment and vibrant adornments to mark the occasion. From Saturday January 21 to Sunday January 22, the masters of the Lunar New Year at Brisbane Quarter’s contemporary Chinese restaurant Brisbane Phoenix will delight you with three banquets to ring in the New Year. Choose between a 12-course deluxe banquet (serves 10) featuring lobster for $2,008, without lobster for $1,688 or an eight-course banquet (serves 6) for $1,008. For casual diners, Brisbane Phoenix will be serving a reduced a la carte menu with some special Lunar New Year dishes available.
Be entertained on the eve of Lunar New Year (Saturday January 21) with a traditional Lion Dance at 12.30 pm and 7:15 pm. Watch as the lion weaves its way around podium one, up the escalators to podium two and finish its journey at Brisbane Phoenix. There will also be a cherry blossom tree on podium one with lanterns, a perfect spot for all of your Lunar New Year photo opportunities.
Brisbane Quarter’s resident Japanese restaurant Tenya will also be celebrating Lunar New Year in style, offering two decadent banquets for tables of ten. The nine-course Deluxe Banquet features lobster sashimi, king-prawn tempura and more for $1280 (serves ten), or the indulgent nine-course Premium Banquet is filled with more lobster, best-cut sashimi belly nigiri, Angus rib eye and much more.
