Loving Kindness Weekend Course at Rigpa Brisbane | Cultivating the Heart of Compassion


Loving kindness practice is a way to find love and compassion in ourselves and is beneficial as a foundation for adopting a genuine attitude of love and compassion towards others.

This course offers an experiential approach to this practice, as an opportunity to explore and deepen our understanding of love, empathy, caring and self-compassion and how we can integrate kindness and compassion into everyday life, so that practice and life are not separate.

The course includes video extracts of talks by leading experts and Buddhist teachers of loving kindness, discussion in small groups, and learning loving kindness and compassion meditation practices.

The Weekend Covers:

– The benefits of cultivating kindness and compassion
– Self-compassion and learning to love ourselves
– Discovering our fundamental goodness
– Compassion for our difficult emotions
– Overcoming indifference
– Forgiveness and transforming resentment
– Developing kindness towards others

This weekend course is open to all and will be especially beneficial if you have completed previous Meditation and/or Loving Kindness courses and workshops with Rigpa Brisbane.

Registration is essential – spaces are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
