Whether there is love in the air or not a care, this February the ultimate line-up of Gals and Valentine’s Day festivities is coming to Fortitude Valley, presented by The Lanes Fortitude Valley.

Wednesday February 13
Head to Bakery Lane for a cute night of activities that suit every kind of Valentine’s Day reveller – from single Pringles to best mates on dates or even those who are all loved up. There will be cake and cookie decorating classes from the adorable foul-mouthed legends at Cakes & Shit, plus some amazing goodness going down courtesy of Botanical Lab – think smudge stick workshops, love tarot readings, pamper packages and more. Tickets are available here. California Lane is getting a bit handsy – hands-on, that is – with an adorable piñata-making workshop with Alice Nightingale as well as a jewellery painting workshop with Bonnie Hislop. If you’re feeling a little bitter about it all, Winn Lane is hosting an Anti-Love Laneway Party featuring live performance from Brisbane’s own Yachtboys plus rom-com trivia with MC Shani Finch.

Thursday February 14
There is plenty happening in The Lanes on Valentine’s Day proper – so come along and check it out! Bring your friends, lovers and admirers to Love Animated 3, a movie night featuring a series of animated films, all themed around love. While you’re watching the movie enjoy drinks and food from the surrounding bars and cafes in Bakery Lane. Over in California Lane, the amazing Bonnie Hislop will be running a Pal-entine’s Day ceramic painting workshop where you can create something cute – you can grab tickets here. For some, Valentine’s Day doesn’t strike a romantic cord – this is where Winn Lane steps in for the ‘Anti-Valentine’s’ of Brisbane. There will be a band ready to rock the night away plus anti-love games and prizes.
