The Living in Aged Care photographic exhibition gives a moving insight into the lives of an often-overlooked community.

The collection of images was taken by documentary photographer Tricia King and residents of the BallyCara aged care home and retirement village in Redcliffe. Together, the images poignantly depict the laughter, love and loss experienced by the elderly.

The photographic project was part of a four-year Queensland University of Technology study of how positive psychology has enriched the lives of BallyCara residents.
