Lithography Session at Grey Hand Press
Join Grey Hand Press for a pilot session demonstrating the basics of fine art hand-lithography in a short-form, casual environment. This workshop will offer a quick hands-on tour of the process to help demystify the technique, explore its aesthetic possibilities, and ultimately help you understand whether it’s a technique you want to pursue.
Over two hours, GHP will take a simple drawing on a prepared lithographic stone through processing and onto paper. During wait times in the process, discover show-and-tell prints and experiments by GHP staff, students, artists, and in the collections, illustrating the sheer diversity of the medium.
This session is in part an outcome of a George Alexander Foundation Fellowship administrated by the International Specialised Skills Institute to develop accessibility to fine art lithography in Australia.
