Laneous – Modern Romance Tour
He’s back! Lachlan Mitchell aka Laneous (of funk group Kafka + Laneous & The Family Yah) has announced his solo debut in the form of single ‘Modern Romance’ (out Oct 26 via Soul Has No Tempo) alongside a run of east coast capital launches to boot. His own nuanced take on 21st century courting and commitment, ‘Modern Romance’ comes double barrel with an accompanying clip starring Gyton Grantley (Underbelly) that features everything from yogis, cellos, a juggalo, steaks, bandages, chains and a cucumber. Listen to ‘Modern Romance’ here and view the accompanying kinky clip here.
Written and recorded with his own superb musical romance the track features producer and bassist, Paul Bender, keyboardist, Simon Mavin (both of grammy nominated Hiatus Kaiyote and Swooping Duck), Donny Stewart on vibraphone and Hudson Whitlock (The Cactus Channel) on drums. It’s classic Laneous; raw but smooth, honey vocals, vintage charm, modern snap and incomparable melodic sensibility.
