Jazz Month

Jazz Music Month at King Street

It’s easy to see what a wonderful world it is when jazz music month hits King Street this May for a trumpet blowing affair of syncopated beats, complex harmonies and purple-hued lips. King Street Brisbane has partnered with the Jazz Music Institute, shining a torch to the long-standing genre of music that has taken over the feet and souls of many from decades ago. Throughout the month of May, you can swing through participating venues such as Fat Dumpling, La Macelleria, Xin Chao, Sushi and Nori, Montrachet and Kul-Cher enjoying finger-licking eats whilst listening to a set list of jazzy beats curated to please the ears of King Street diners.

As well as performances at many delicious venues, you can find the New Orleans Street Band parading through King Street and Bowen Hills every Thursday at lunchtime. So whatever your doing, stick your head out or join in on the festivities – live a little!
