After the blockbuster movie hit the theatres earlier this year, audiences have been clambering to experience Stephen Sondheim’s fairytale musical on stage in Brisbane. Harvest Rain take great pleasure in presenting Into The Woods at Queensland Performing Arts Centre for a strictly limited season from 1st 2015. Heading an all-star cast will be audience favourite Eddie Perfect (Offspring) as the Baker, musical theatre darling Rachael Beck (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Beauty and the Beast) as the Bakers Wife and the towering talent of Rhonda Burchmore OAM (Mamma Mia, Cry me a River, Up Close & Personal) as the Witch.

Venture into the woods with Cinderella and her Prince, Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf, Rapunzel, the Witch, Jack (who climbed the beanstalk) and a host of other enchanted characters whose worlds collide in this masterful fractured musical fairytale by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. When a baker and his wife learn they’ve been cursed with childlessness by the witch next door, they embark on a quest for the special objects required to break the spell and restore the witch’s beauty: a milk-white cow, hair as yellow as corn, a blood- red cape, and a slipper of gold. But they soon discover the perils of “happily ever after” and what really happens when you get everything you wished for. Also starring Kimberley Hodgson as Little Red Riding Hood, Tom Oliver as Jack, Natalie Greer as Rapunzel, Georgina Hopson as Cinderella, and Steve Hirst and Riley Sutton as the Princes.
