Insect discovery walk

Insect discovery walk

Discover the insects of Boondall Wetlands while volunteer and insect enthusiast Russel takes participants on a guided walk.  Catch, identify and learn all about these incredible invertebrates.

Designed for all abilities, the two-kilometre Billai dhagun track winds through several different vegetation communities, from eucalypt forest to mangroves and saltmarsh. Your guide will highlight points of interest and help catch identify and learn all about the insects along the way.

Requirements: All children must be accompanied by an adult.  Wear a wide-brimmed hat, secure and fully enclosed walking shoes, sun-smart clothing, sunscreen and insect repellent.  Bring drinking water and a snack or picnic lunch as there are no food outlets on site.  Note: Walks are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
