In Two Minds by Dancenorth
Australia’s leading regionally based contemporary dance company presents two new works from three of Australia’s most exciting young choreographers.
Alisdair Macindoe’s A Pre-emptive Requiem For Mother Nature invites you into the magic of the organic world. Be mesmerised as the performers interact as flocking birds, schools of fish and clouds in the wind in In Two Minds by Dancenorth.
In Syncing Feeling Kyle Page and Amber Haines rigorously explore ‘the duet’. Examining cognitive processes and neuroscience, the duo demonstrate what Eastern philosophy has known for millennia… the only thing that separates humans from each other is our skin.
Based in Townsville, Dancenorth celebrates its 30th year in 2015. Over the years Dancenorth work has been seen throughout Australia, and internationally in SE Asia and Europe, and has given opportunities for creativity to numerous artistic voices – many who have gone on to be leaders in the arts. Their mantra is “one company, many voices”.
