In the Physic Garden: Soothing and Healing Herbs
Have you ever thought about how people treated everyday health problems before modern medicine? They turned to nature: plants were used as a cure for everything from acne to liver disorders, treating depression to healing open wounds.
A ‘physic garden’ was a natural pharmacy – a garden full of medicinal herbs used to cure a range of illnesses and complaints. In this workshop we will walk around our newly opened physic garden: learn about medicinal plants and how to care for them, and then make our own healing potions, lotions and tonics.
