Australian Poetry Slam Champion, Jesse John Brand is an award-winning writer, and musician. He has performed poetry at the Bookworm Literary Festival, the JUE Music and Art Festival in China, The Ubud Writers and Readers Festival in Bali, the Sydney Writers Festival and the Sydney Opera House. Through satire, poetics and experimental form, his work explores themes of modern dystopia, history, war, science, religion and mythology. He once glued a pile of old rags to his face and fooled people into believing he was Kirsten Dunst.

Abe Nouk is an Australian Poetry Slam Finalist, who performed at the 2014 Glastonbury festival of the arts and together with Jesse John Brand as the featuring poets at the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival.

Andrew Galan leads an inclusive, energetic and liberal poetry slam named BAD!SLAM!NO!BISCUIT! from the Phoenix Pub in the Australian Capital Territory. He writes poetry published and performed in Australia and internationally. Reviews have compared his writing to ee cummings, Nick Cave, the Coen Brothers and Tarrantino, and described it as “weird unsettling stabs” and “priceless crowd-pleasers riddled with satire.” His publisher says it is “Nadsat meets Mad Max.” For Andrew poetry is where his imagination and reality meet, sometimes for a fight, sometimes to eat. His first book is That Place of Infested Roads (life during wartime), KF&S Press.
