Hidden Lanes Festival

Hidden Lanes Festival

Celebrating the pinnacle of fashion, art, food, music and entertainment that is The Lanes of Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, The Hidden Lanes Festival returns on Saturday 26 October for its second year! The festival takes over the five laneways – Winn, Bakery, California, Lucky and Little Valley, activating each nook and cranny to highlight the 80 businesses that call them home.

Leading the musical charge are the explosive Wollongong four-piece, The VANNS. Having spent the last two years supporting acts including Catfish and the Bottlemen and Aussie favourites Ocean Alley, the band recently shared their huge new single ‘Mother’, and hit the road for a sold out east coast tour in support of the track. Also joining the line up is Splendour In The Grass 2019 alum, Tyne-James Organ. After gaining national praise for his powerful 2018 single, ‘Watch You Go’,  latest release, ‘Something New, is another testament to his ability to channel tough experiences into emotive and irresistible tracks, resulting in a live-act like no other. These heavyweights will be joined by a slew of incredible local and interstate acts like Demon Days (Perth), Ella Fence, Pink Matter, The Oogars and so many more. Brisbane’s Music Industry College also present their high school program, inviting four bands to perform on The Zoo stage. To see the whole jam-packed music line-up, head to the Hidden Lanes website.

The fashion and design trail, heritage trail, music trail, food trail and market trail, each showcase the breathtaking creations and ideas forged within them. From culinary delights to contemporary fashion and innovative artwork – families and music fans alike can explore the works of incredible creatives and meet the makers behind them.

The entire day-long celebration is free, including the plethora of masterclasses, demonstrations, installations and music available across the event. You can indulge in everything from cookie decorating, cocktails and kimchi through to styling sessions, festival looks and more. Want to see what’s on offer and book yourself a spot? Head here.

The Hidden Lanes Festival brings together Fortitude Valley in a way like no other, displaying its endless culture and opportunities, and combining its past, present and history. Whether you’re a regular to the Valley or haven’t explored the streets in a while, The Hidden Lanes Festival is a celebration of everything Valley. Discover Different.
