Halloween night adventures: Celebrate Grandparents Day!
Calling all spooky kooky grandparents and grandkids! Celebrate Grandparents Day on a guided night walk on Halloween eve with staff from Council's Environment Centres and try your hand at spotting nocturnal wildlife in Raven Street Reserve. These creatures of the night are not scary at all! Dress-ups encouraged – come along in your best nocturnal animal disguise!
Participants will explore a 1200 metre trail. The activity will continue in light rain.
Requirements: Safety requirements apply and are a condition of entry. Children must be aged six years or older and accompanied by an adult booked into the walk. One adult per two children is required. For safety reasons children under six cannot attend.
Please wear secure and fully enclosed walking shoes, long pants and long sleeves. Bring a small hand-held torch (no headlamps), insect repellent, drinking water, and a raincoat if required. Please arrive ten minutes early to check in. Please do not leave early unless it is an emergency. We recommend a light meal prior to the walk.
Note: Public toilets are available at the meeting point and will be visited before the walk. Activities are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
