Get Off My Cloud
Get Off My Cloud features two artists whose very different approaches to material becomes an intriguing conversation about form and formlessness. We recognise something in these works, even if it is not quite identifiable.
Form and formlessness seems a more suitable term than abstraction and figuration and so forth, because the presence of the material is elevated over the importance of the image. Helen Rogers’ works are visceral, squishy and a bit gross. Angelica Roache-Wilson’s works are compellingly calm and a little bit spooky.
