Gambaro Prostate Cancer Care Lunch

Gambaro Prostate Cancer Care Lunch

It’s on again! The Gambaro Prostate Cancer Care Lunch will raise vital funds for the third most common cause of cancer death in Australia. Prostate cancer affects one in seven Australian men – your support of this important cause can make a huge difference to many men and their families going through the cancer journey in the Brisbane and Queensland community.

Tickets to the lunch cost $120 and for this small price you get access to a big event. It’s a terrific networking opportunity with loads of heart! Ticket holders will receive a generous three-course lunch and beverages, as well as hear our inspiring panel discussion by leading experts in urology.

We are thrilled to have renowned Keynote Speaker, Steve Haddan, as our MC and Cr Paul Pisasale, Mayor of Ipswich City Council, as the panel moderator. Members of the panel are Dr John Yaxley, Wesley Hospital urologist, Dr Nicholas Brown, interventional radiologist and Rachael Oxford, Wesley Hospital prostate cancer care nurse. Guests will also hear from prostate cancer survivor David Salmon, who has benefitted from successful outcomes thanks to MRI detection and treatment of the cancer. He will share his experience.

The Wesley Hospital is a centre of excellence for prostate cancer detection and treatment. The folks at the hospital offer a high level of care with urologists, medical and radiation oncologists, specialised nursing staff and a dedicated urology ward. Treatment options such as the latest in minimally invasive surgery, including robotically assisted prostate surgery, allows faster recovery, less pain and a faster return to every day life activities.
