From the Ground Up – Companion Planting
From the Ground Up is a four part workshop series on how to garden and grow plants sustainably. The methods and practices in the workshops are designed to restore and nurture the environment and to assist you in growing your garden harmoniously with nature.
This month’s workshop provides advice about combining plants and companion planting. Plants can be combined to be mutually beneficial to each other by providing natural pest repellent or fertiliser, acting as taste and growth improvers, or working as pollinator and beneficial insect attractants. The practical activity is making a container garden using companion and seasonal plants.
