Friday the 13th Nundah Cemetery Ghost Tour

Friday the 13th Nundah Cemetery Ghost Tour

Meet at the gates of one of Australia’s most historic and intimate graveyards – Nundah Cemetery. Although officially gazetted in 1862, the first European burials took place here in 1846.

Covering only a few acres, every bit of space is used. Even some of the paths you walk are directly above those laid to rest. The exact number of burials is unknown – it was rare to keep records in the early days of settlement – but it is believed that today there are over 4000 graves.

Be led on an intimate historic ghost tour. See over 800 monuments, ranging from very ornate stone columns to very humble wooden crosses. Hear 10 real ghost stories from within the cemetery and of those who are buried there – true tales researched from archives, libraries, former grave diggers & local people – cemetery symbolism, poisoned chocolates, lively statues & aboriginal warriors.
