Free Hip Hop Pilates
West Village has teamed up with qualified Pilates instructor and dance teacher Katie Dickens to offer free Hip Hop Pilates classes every Tuesday until September 8.
The unique style of fitness classes were developed by Miss Dickens, from East Brisbane’s The Transform Method studio, and combine the benefits of traditional Pilates with the high intensity of Hip Hop dance moves and music. Miss Dickens, who is also a personal trainer and runs various weekly classes for the Queensland Ballet, said she developed Hip Hop Pilates after fielding numerous questions about specific exercises for weight loss and toning of the entire body.
The free Hip Hop Pilates classes at West Village are being held every Tuesday from 12:15 pm until September 8 at the UBODY Studio on Level 1 of the old Peters Ice Cream Factory building at 93 Boundary Street, West End.
Places are limited and participants must first register by visiting westvillage.com.au/event or email [email protected] Those attending should wear comfortable clothes and sneakers and bring a towel and a yoga mat.
