Foraged Earth Degustation Dinner
Clovely Estate’s ‘Foraged Earth’ degustation dinner is a one-night-only, five-course experience inspired by the rich pickings of Autumn.
It is the latest in the popular ‘Source of Inspiration’ series, where Clovely’s executive chef takes his cue from seasonal ingredients nurtured by local producers. From there, he invents one-off masterpieces of taste, texture and colour. Each course is matched with a Clovely Estate wine.
This time, chef Mike Kirwin’s inspiration follows the quail, through the kitchen garden, into the pastures and woodlands gathering a mix of delicate flavours and earthy delights. Clovely’s partner for the evening is Brisbane Valley Protein who produce the world’s largest table quail, which is highly prized by famous-name chefs.
These degustation dinners are a friendly and interactive occasion with the chef, winemaker and partner producers all sharing their story of creating Queensland’s outstanding food and wine. The vineyard owners are usually there too and always happy to talk about their award-winning winery in the South Burnett region.
